Chain length decides where a pendant sits. Use the chart to picture it before you order.
Necklace Length Chart
| Length | Centimetres | Where It Sits | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| 16" | 40 cm | Base of the neck | Close-fitting chains |
| 18" | 45 cm | Just below the collarbone | Small pendants |
| 20" | 50 cm | On the collarbone line | Everyday pendants |
| 22" | 55 cm | A few inches below the collarbone | Cross and dog tag pendants |
| 24" | 60 cm | Mid chest | Larger pendants, layering |
How to Choose
- Wearing it under a shirt? 20" or 22" keeps the pendant out of sight but easy to reach.
- Wearing it visibly? 22" or 24" gives a pendant room to hang clear of the collar.
- Layering two chains? Leave at least 5 cm between lengths so they do not tangle.
- Broader build? Size up one step — a 22" chain sits higher on a wider frame.
Extenders: chains listed as "20+2" include a 2-inch extender, so one necklace covers two lengths.
